Bounat is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Robbie Lober to Associate Director. Robbie’s hard work, dedication, tenacity, and passion for commercial real estate have earned him this much-deserved promotion.
While at Bounat, Robbie continues to excel and recently closed his largest deal yet. We say “yet” because we know there are many more closings ahead in Robbie’s future at Bounat.
To learn more about Robbie, take a read of the Q&A below:
Q: What is your most memorable transaction and why?
RL: My most memorable transaction was representing APEX Performance. This was prime time during covid 2020, options and in-person tours were limited. It was an 8-month long persistent process of cold calling, door knocking, and cold emailing to try and drum up any viable options. After touring 21 buildings and running through numerous financial projections, we were fortunate enough to expand our criteria and secure a larger facility. The best part was that the space we ended up capturing, was a space where the rates were too high and did not meet the budget. Fast forward 8 months later, in a last-ditch effort, I reached back out to the Landlord’s broker (shoutout to Brady Ledet who was incredible to work with) to ask if the rental rate could be reduced since it was still available, and lucky enough it was and we were able to make the numbers work. Extremely happy for everyone involved – a full team effort! APEX is a client and friend for life.
Q: If you could choose one thing that has made the biggest impact on your career, what would it be?
RL: It’s hard to choose one thing, but here are my top three. Mentorship (key!), prospecting strategies, and never comparing myself to anyone else.
Q: What advice would you give to a fellow CRE broker just starting out?
RL: Eat, sleep, and breathe CRE 24/7. Go all in or else you’re never going to know its true potential. Put in the time while you’re young, be eager to learn, accept failure & translate it to fuel, learn to take constructive criticism, ask a million questions, and seek help from successful peers but only if prepared and willing to be coachable, add value, and express gratitude for their time and advice. Always be thankful to those who help you. Time is the only asset you can never get back or get more of.
Q: What are your business goals for 2022?
RL: To exceed them all and never look back. Become more ruthless with my time, more assertive when necessary (#shark), and have an abundance mentality.
Congratulations, Robbie. We look forward to being part of your journey and continued success! If you would like to contact Robbie, fill out the form here.
